Shavian

This writing system was created by James Kingsley Read in the 1960's, after receiving money from the will of George Bernard Shaw after his passing. It was completed on the 18th of August, 1960. The basic design was to use only one letter for each sound of English and only one sound for each letter. This makes spelling very intuitive and simple. All English spelling rules become obsolete. You can simply write the same sounds that you speak. Here is a sample text from the Bible, taken from Romans chapter 5.
