New English

This is a writing system designed to have minimal alterations to traditional latin letters while still having enough characters to make writing American English fully phonetic. You will find a pronunciation key as well as Romans chapter 5.

An Introduction

Image
This website is dedicated to sharing alternative writing and spelling system for multiple languages. As a native English speaker, English writing systems will be put up first, but others will soon be joining. My goal is to provide extensive texts in different scripts as well as an easy way to convert any document into your favorite script. Why I am an Alternative Linguist. I enjoy languages. I like to precisely define the sounds that come out of our mouths so they can be recorded in written form very easily. The shortest path between the written script and read language must be made. A language should be able to be read by someone who natively speaks the language or not in one day. The words if fully phonetic also have more punch than words that are not fully phonetic. Try this example. Beauty is for beholding, versus byUtE iz fOr bqhOldiG. The second has more direct power because every sound corrosponds to just one letter. Your brain can land each sound on just one letter that always

Some Keyboard Layouts

The IPA keyboard which tells you what sounds I have assigned to the traditional qwerty keyboard. My Upper English Sound Chart to type English phonetically with no special fonts. The Keyboard for Deseret which will allow you to type the Deseret alphabet with the same sound positions as my IPA keyboard and the regular United States qwerty keyboard with my Upper English sound assignments. The keyboard for Shavian which has the same sound positions as Deseret but with Shavian characters. Because of the work that was put into this, a suggested donation would be appreciated.

This system is designed to be beautiful, simple to write, and regularly spaced. Enjoy! Pronunciation Key Here it is online for all to see.

Deseret Alphabet

Image
The Deseret Alphabet was invented by Brigham Young and Joseph Smith in the 1860's. They wanted to produce a fully phonetic alphabet for English. Here is some sample text and an pronunciation key. As you can see, a few letters have been added that are not in the original Deseret Alphabet to make pronunciation clearer. Pronunciation Key Here it is in jpg.

Katakana Playground

Here I will be using phonetic English script in combination with Katakana to teach myself and others this Japanese Syllibary. Here we go!

Upper English

This is a new spelling system I have come up with that allows you to type with just one letter per sound, and one sound per letter. Spelling errors are a thing of the past. Here is a sample from the Bible taken from Romans 5. {5:1} TARfOR bEiG justifId bI fAH, wE hav pEs wiH god HrU WR lOrd jEzqs krIst: {5:2} bI hUm olsO wE hav akses bI fAH intU Tis grAs weRin wE stVnd, Vnd rEjYs in hOp uv Tq glOrE uv god. {5:3} Vnd not OnlE [sO,] but wE glOrE in tribyUlACqnz olsO: nOiG Tat tribyUlACqn wRkqH pACqns; {5:4} Vnd pACqns, ekspErEqns; Vnd ekspErEqns, hOp: {5:5} Vnd hOp mAkqH not qCAmd; bEkuz Tq luv uv god iz Ced qbrod in WR hoRts bI Tq hOlE gOst wiX iz givqn untU us. {5:6} fOR wen wE wR yet wiHWt streGH, in dU tIm krIst dId fOR Tq ungodlE. {5:7} fOR skeRslE fOR q rIXqs mVn wil wun dI: yet pRqdvenXR fOR q gQd mVn sum wQd Evqn dAR tU dI. {5:8} but god kqmendqH hiz luv tqwOrd us, in Tat, wIl wE wR yet sinRz, krIst dId fOR us. {5:9} muX mOr Ten, bEiG nW justifId bI hiz blud, wE Cal bE sAvd frum
